in my town in central australia it is 3:30 in the morning it is also 26*C...... hotter inside the house because its been sitting in the sun all day collecting heat from the 40*C day

what is it like where you are? im particularly interested in the european answers because im coming in march and if i have to live through more heat im going to shit a brick

I'm a snow cat...but there has been no real snow in Bosnia for 5 years now.

Pretty much this. It's been a highly irregular winter.

winter finally came here but it's extremely light, temperature is around 0 all the time, not less that -5 and no more than +3 a year ago it was like -15/-25 during the day and even colder at night

and everyone told me not to go so early in the year :S it even said in an online forecast 6cm of snow for balkans, now even that looks like crap

Up until Christmas we were having a weird winter here, but since then winter has caught up, and I can proudly boast to have at least three feet of snow on my driveway.

and if you don't like snow, u're pretty much a non-slav

Try living in the north. There's no test to your love for snow quite like having to shovel a foot of snow off your driveway daily.

I'd still choose that over heat. My dream is to, one day, live in some northern country. When it is hot I can't sleep and I'm nervous/grumpy all the time.

I think the best thing about shoveling your snow is that you can choose where the snow lands, and can then build trenches out of the now piled high banks. Me and a mate a few years back built a system of trenches that were around 3 feet wide, 4 feet deep, that went all the way around his yard. It took us around 9 hours to complete.

It was just like that a year ago and 2 years ago .. only this winter is exceptionally merciful

actually over the last 3 days it has rained heavily but i was talking about europe

-39 !! ( at night and not in my region) still around -30c near my house

i was complaining about global warming and lack of snow and it's probably one of the coldest winters i remember

just talked to my cousin in serbia its 60cm of snow in raška okrug im gonna be going nuts i've never even seen snow before
